Oh, Jo. It is so painful to be where you are. I did that growth myself. Sue Monk Kidd, who wrote Secret Lives of Bees, also wrote several books about her expansion of faith beyond Christian beliefs. "Dance of the Dissident's Daughter" was a very meaningful book for me, when I was early in the path. I have, I think, stepped out of the circle within which I was raised, Catholicism, and now believe that all faiths are related. I've raised my kids to believe that you don't judge the face of god that presents itself to other people, you simply try to find the one that you're most comfortable with. My son gave me a bumpersticker he found, 'God is too big for any one religion'. I will pray for you. You are doing the right thing by searching.
