Roles
Electronic Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Design & Prototyping: Design tamper-detection elements including sensor layers, conductive trace networks, and integrated shielding solutions.
- Circuit Development: Develop and optimize PCB layouts for secure enclosures and signal routing.
- Testing & Validation: Perform comprehensive testing under varying conditions (e.g., EMI, thermal stress) and iterate designs quickly based on findings.
- Integration: Collaborate with Embedded Systems Engineers to integrate circuit designs with firmware, ensuring seamless hardware–software interaction.
- Innovation: Bring creative, non-traditional solutions to hardware security challenges; adapt designs quickly as requirements evolve
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience in circuit design, PCB layout, and hardware validation.
- Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping and testing in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for pushing technical boundaries.
- Bonus: Familiar with microcontroller programming, FPGA programming, basic mechanical design in CAD, secure hardware design and tamper-detection concepts.

- Base Salary: £45,000–£65,000 in London, $120,000–$150,000 in San Francisco.
Embedded Systems Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Firmware Development: Write and maintain embedded code (in C/C++ or similar languages) for microcontrollers and real-time systems that control tamper detection functionality.
- Hardware Integration: Interface with sensor circuits, manage hardware peripherals, and integrate with Electronic Engineers’ designs to achieve precise measurement of electrical properties.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize embedded software for speed, power efficiency, and reliability under security-critical conditions.
- Rapid Prototyping: Work in an agile environment to quickly iterate, test, and deploy firmware updates alongside evolving hardware designs.
- Collaboration: Engage in design reviews and coordinate with hardware teams to enhance overall system performance and security.
Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or similar programming with a solid understanding of microcontrollers and embedded system architectures.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute targeted outreach initiatives, pilot programs, and partnership agreements.
- Represent TamperSec at customer-centric events, conferences, and industry forums to enhance product visibility.
- Create compelling proposals and presentations that align our technical advantages with customer needs.

Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in customer discovery, stakeholder management, and business development, preferably in the tech, hardware, or security sectors.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering concepts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment with a track record of driving strategic growth initiatives.
