We seem to have at least one bot editing the Less Wrong Wiki. Is this something that could easily be fixed by instituting a karma requirement for wiki editing?

Possible to fix, sure. But it would likely to be a bit of work on the technical side. The wiki has a different account system.

It seems to me that the obvious answer to the 'different account system' problem is to have an admin bot that has access to the LW account database, and approves people's requests for wiki accounts iff there's a LW account by the same name with the same email that has at least 1 karma.

We'd still have to get rid of existing bot accounts by hand, but that should stop new ones, if it's feasible.

It seems to me that it's not so much that there's at least one bot editing the wiki, as that almost all the wiki-editing that's happening is being done by bots.
