Big caveat here in my mind: product managers, engineers, etc. are only really seem useful if you think you have some work to address AI safety that requires scale. Otherwise it's not clear you get a lot over being a smaller researcher with possibly some support staff. So the assumption here is seems to be that any of these roles are only useful insofar as the theory is worth scaling up.
