Look, Dinosaur Comics has a strip about the singularity. And it's pretty much in line with the Singularity Institute's views on the matter.

It's only relevant as a signpost that the "intelligence explosion" version of the Singularity is starting to get cultural traction.

Funny, but "in line with the Singularity Institute" is a bit of a stretch.

We could charitably interpret that as "using the same definition of 'Singularity' as the Singularity Institute, instead of Kurzweil's or some other variant" (which is correct).

I agree. My pedantic side was acting up and I was mainly focusing on the fact that the comic didn't mention FAI, which is what really sets SIAI apart from other Singularity groups/thinkers.

Is this really relevant?
