1-2pm is for ???

I left myself a cryptic note for trying some lifestyle habit a few weeks ago, and can no longer recall its meaning. Here's the note in its entirety:

> 1-2pm

Any suggestions for what's best done at 1-2pm? I feel like (70%) it has something to do with diet or exercise (but not napping). I'm half hoping to hear a more useful idea than the one I forgot, which wasn't spectacular enough for me to remember. I already searched web, mail, and my RSS.

This is nerd sniping targeted at Lesswrongians.

"What does this cryptic note mean?"

"Hmm... Not much information... But an idealized Bayesian reasoner would definitely form a preferred hypothesis, or a set of equally preferred hypotheses... Let's see what it might be--"

and then FOOM, they're hit by a passing Singularity.

] What is 1-2pm?

It is the middle of the afternoon. You are likely to be eaten by a Graehl.

Blogging? My problem is that I always end up posting late in the evening, when all the reasonable people are asleep. But I still want instant feedback, so I stay up even later waiting for people to comment. Maybe I'd do better to blog earlier, when people might actually read it that day?

You shouldn't automatically assume that it's a time span. Maybe it was shorthand for: one dash to (some place with initials p m). So get running :)

2:30 is a good time to go to the dentist.

The dentist is not yet completely exhausted, and you've eaten lunch. Traffic isn't too bad yet, either. A shining moment.

I can't tell if you're playing along, or just allowing yourself to rationalize.

I went to the dentist today between 1-2 pm. I had just eaten lunch. Traffic was irrelevant - it was within walking distance.

Everyone ignore this comment.

It's here to remind me to make an appointment with the dentist. Or maybe I should do something else. Any suggestions?

I recommend eating. If you don't eat every now and then, you die. Or so they claim, I've never died myself so I can't say for sure.

First things first! Remember to breathe between 1 and 2 PM.

Make sure to allow your lungs to expand as you inhale. This is very important!
