The Monkey and the Machine

Short summary: Paul uses some machine learning analogies to give an insightful description of how he thinks our brains work. I particularly enjoyed the idea of our brains "learning" categories for things by tryng to hit a value function with environmental feedback, with the ultimate goal to learn the abstract thing the referents are pointing at.
