August Meet-up (8/7 @ 2 PM; in person)

We'll be meeting in person, at our usual location (South Loop Strength & Conditioning, 645 S Clark St, Chicago, IL 60605).
This month we're going to try something a little different and make concrete predictions about the future (e.g. the probability that certain things will happen by a given year). We'll be doing it live, rather than arriving with our predictions for a pre-assigned list, so feel free to bring ideas of what predictions you'd be interested in discussing. For example, this will probably include questions about technology progress and the role of technology in society.
As an example of some concrete predictions about technology, here is an interview with Robin Hanson discussing his book "Age of Em". Check out the beginning of the video for an overview of his predictions.
I'll have to miss this month, but I'm looking forward to hearing the predictions that come out of the discussion. Hope you can make it.
