DATE & LOCATION RESOURCES: READINGS/BACKGROUND None No comments
The next monthly discussion meetup is Saturday, March 4 @ 2 PM (see below for location details). NOTE: The meeting space can be cold/chilly in the winter, so wear layers.
For this up-coming meetup, we’re going to discuss urban planning. This topic could go in many directions, so feel free to come with thoughts on anything from housing to transportation to the role of regulation (or anything else).
Below are a variety of suggestions for some relevant readings, videos, and a podcast, but, as usual, nothing is required.
Also, please feel free to come even if you’re worried it will be awkward, you won’t fit in, or you aren’t the “typical person who comes to a Rationality meetup.” We are welcoming (albeit occasionally argumentative)!
DATE & LOCATION
Date: Saturday, 3/4 @ 2pm–4pm (roughly)
Location: South Loop Strength & Conditioning – upstairs in the mezzanine
645 S Clark
Chicago IL 60605
Note: Todd owns this gym so that’s why there’s a Rationality meetup at a gym
If you have trouble finding us, DM Todd on the Discord or post in “meetups”.

- Some projects at the city level draw on federal money, giving federal regulation a role, e.g. the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Here’s a great podcast on why this act is not what it appears to be:
