The deadline for the Legal Topics in Effective Altruism program is coming up very soon! Register by this coming Sunday (October 10th): https://efctv.org/EA-VP-legaltopics
We’ll also be hosting our usual virtual programs from November 1st to December 26th!
- The Introductory EA Program aims to introduce the core ideas of effective altruism.
- The In-Depth EA Program seeks to engage participants with more complex questions to help them figure out how they can best make an impact.
- The Precipice Reading Group explores the science behind the existential risks we face.
Register by Sunday, October 24th: https://efctv.org/virtual-programs
If you know anyone who might benefit from participating in any of these programs, please share this opportunity with them.
If you have participated in any fellowships, programs, or reading groups before, and are looking for ways to contribute to the EA community, please apply to be a facilitator! Getting more great facilitators allows us to accept more people into our program. You’re also likely to reinforce what you’ve learned previously by reengaging with the content as a facilitator.
Apply to be a facilitator by Sunday, October 17th: https://efctv.org/EA-VP-facilitator-app

I can't tell from the descriptions, but it seems like these programs have been run before -- is that right? Are there any reviews or other writeups about participants' experiences anywhere?

Hi wunan, yes we run the programs monthly. Unfortunately, we don't have any reviews/testimonies written up for the public, but here's a broad feel of our program [EA · GW].
So far, we’ve had a total of 959 participants from the first half of 2021. We also have 289 participants in the July-to-August round which we are currently running with Stanford EA. Our post-program survey response rates are generally quite low at 30%, but feedback for two prior rounds has been positive: the average likelihood of recommending the program to a friend was 9.15 out of 10.
