And we're back! And also! Back on a Thursday schedule!
Meet inside The Shops at Waterloo Town Square - we will congregate in the seating area next to the Valu-Mart with the trees sticking out in the middle of the benches at 7pm for 15 minutes, and then head over to my nearby apartment's amenity room. If you've been around a few times, feel free to meet up at my apartment front door for 7:30 instead. (There is free city parking at Bridgeport and Regina, 22 Bridgeport Rd E.)
Discussion
At this week's meetup, we'll be discussing the book review contest entries for the ACX 2023 book review.
No need to read them all (unless you want to!). We can share impressions, debate conclusions, and ponder whether or not the actual books are worth reading.
Some questions:
- Which reviews did you find most intriguing or well-written?
- Were there any books you've already read and agree or disagree with Scott's take?
- Did certain topics like ancient Chinese history, epistemology, or autobiographies tend to resonate with you more?
- Are there any ideas you encountered that challenge your thinking?
