Without looking it up, can you answer how long it would take to walk around the Earth? How about how many plastic bottles the US uses in a year? Or how many intelligent civilizations there are in the galaxy?
Without exact figures, you might think that answering these questions is impossible. However, using the power of Fermi estimation, you can often come up with surprisingly close answers to seemingly intractable questions. Come join us to learn about this useful technique and give your problem-solving skills a big boost.
We’ll meet up at 5pm, and the Fermi Estimates activity will start right at 6pm. As always, we will have casual discussion before the activity and afterwards.
📌 Meetup location:
Whole Foods Market inside seating area
501 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA
