As usual this will be at Tim's apartment, on Sat April 16, 2-6 pm

Ulloi 66/b/1

Ring 27

6th floor, door 3

They have a cat and a dog.

Quoting Tim's e-mail from the BUD LW/ACX mailing list:

So the recent snow flurry convinced me to keep the meetup in the apartment for one more month. We'll meet at my apartment again, even though it may be a sunny summer day, instead of a cold dreary spring rain.

For reading material, I'm going to suggest this SSC classic:

https://slatestarcodex.com/2015/09/16/cardiologists-and-chinese-robbers/

And for a second reading Gergő suggested this:

https://www.metaculus.com/notebooks/10292/predicting-polygenic-selection-for-iq/

It looks fairly interesting as both an example of discussions around intelligence heritability and how to use prediction markets to speculate about questions that are an intersection of technological progress, scientific research, social changes, and regulatory processes.

We'll order pizza during the meetup so there will be some food for dinner.

As an additional announcement, the next meetup afterwards will be on May 7th at 2pm Margit Sziget. It is listed on the spreadsheet shared in this morning's ACX post.

Anyways I look forward to seeing you all and talking about something that is not at all Ukraine!

Tim
