Join us on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at noon in San Antonio, TX at Corner Bakery Cafe (Quarry Location). Today we will be talking about living in the modern technological age. Are we headed to a cyberpunk dystopia? In what ways are we already there? How seriously should we react to the way our world is changing?

Come to discuss some of your favorite science fiction media. What ideas have come to pass, which authors were prescient in their world-building? What worlds might resemble the one we are headed into.

As a secondary topic, we can discuss the spread of misinformation online. Most recent example: how many Americans were fooled into committing check fraud by a rumor on TikTok last week.

It's supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow afternoon. Likely we will be able to meet on the patio outside.
