Can't Dustin donate $100k anonymously (bitcoin or cash) to researchers in a way that decouples his reputation from the people he's funding?

This seems like a strictly easier task than discovering rowhammer or spectre.
(The hard part is discovering the vulnerability, not writing the code for the exploit assuming you had a one paragraph description.)
Have you read the wikipedia pages for these attacks? My intuition is they require first principles thinking to discover, you're unlikely to stumble on them simply by generating a lot of data from the processor and searching for patterns in the data.
It's only a matter of time until someone publishes a pdf with all this information. You can't censor the entire internet. It's worthwhile preparing for a world in which this pdf exists.
Gene cloning is not that hard. You can find most of the "troubleshooting" on youtube already, it's just time consuming and error-prone if you've never done it before.
